Today, Wednesday, March 4, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Production Sciences (FIMCP) had the honor of hosting a high-level technical delegation from Hivimar. This meeting marks a significant milestone in our ongoing goal to bridge the gap between academic excellence and the real-world demands of the industry.
The delegation from Hivimar included Mgtr. Gabriela Pachay (Corporate Agreements Supervisor), Eng. Juan Dávila (Sales Manager), and Eng. Daniel Méndez (Product Head of Pumps and Industrial Equipment). During their visit, they were welcomed by our authorities: Ph.D. Rómulo Salazar (Dean), Ph.D. Ana Rivas (Associate Dean), and M.Sc. Fausto Maldonado (Mechanical Engineering Program Coordinator), along with a distinguished group of FIMCP professors.
Innovation on the ground
The centerpiece of the visit was a tour of our laboratories. Here, Hivimar representatives witnessed firsthand the technological infrastructure and human talent that FIMCP dedicates to industrial and mechanical development. Discussions focused on strategies to enhance mutual collaboration, facilitate knowledge transfer, and create practical opportunities for our students.
